Iron-on instructions

  1. Check the garment care label first. The fabric must be suitable for ironing at medium/high heat. If it is heat-sensitive, waterproof or coated, sew the patch on instead.
  2. Lay the clean, dry garment on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the patch with the embroidery facing upwards.
  3. Place a thin cotton pressing cloth over the patch.
  4. Set the iron to medium/high heat, within the garment's permitted setting, with steam switched off.
  5. Apply firm, stationary pressure for approximately 20–30 seconds. Do not slide the iron.
  6. Where possible, turn the garment inside out and press behind the patch for another 20–30 seconds.
  7. Leave to cool completely, then gently check the edges. If needed, repeat a short press through the cloth, staying within the fabric's heat tolerance.

For a more secure finish, especially on frequently washed items, add stitches around the edge. If the fabric cannot safely take the required heat, attach the patch by sewing only.
